It’s interesting to note that, as of this writing, when you shift the language to Spanish on the St Josemaría iPhone App, you’d find new prayer cards that are not yet available in English. Two are shared on the screenshots above:

Prayer to St Josemaría for KIDS: Freelance translation: “O Jesus, You loved St Josemaría a lot, and together you did wonderful things: grant that I may learn to love You, and help me to be like You. O Jesus, I would like to become better each day and to behave well at all times, even though at times this costs effort. St Josemaría, you who are close to God and to the Virgin: tell them to help me. I ask of you the following… (make your request here, and don’t forget your parents, brothers and sisters, friends, teachers…). (Pray the Hail Mary slowly…)

the prayer to Pope John Paul II: O Blessed Trinity. We thank you for having graced the Church with Pope John Paul II and for allowing the tenderness of your Fatherly care, the glory of the cross of Christ, and the splendour of the Holy Spirit, to shine through him. Trusting fully in your infinite mercy and in the maternal intercession of Mary, he has given us a living image of Jesus the Good Shepherd, and has shown us that holiness is the necessary measure of ordinary Christian life and is the way of achieving eternal communion with you. Grant us, by his intercession, and according to your will, the graces we implore, hoping that he will soon be numbered among your saints. Amen.

Michael Novak’s poetry for the conversion of Hadley Arkes

Last April, we carried the news of the conversion to Catholicism of Prof. Hadley Arkes. His Baptism sponsor, Michael Novak, composed a beautiful poetry entitled “They Recognized Him in the Breaking of the Bread” on the occasion of his conversion; we share it with you here:

http://www.michaelnovak.net/index.cfm?fuseaction=articles.view&id=275

The poetry is so timely, as we live the Octave of Corpus Christi these days…

–o–o–o–o–

In his letter for June 2010, the Prelate asks us to seek “Jesus in the Tabernacle—where he is truly present—and in our soul in grace. Let us try to find him also in the members of the Church, his Mystical Body, especially in the most disadvantaged: the sick, the poor…”. Here are some of the many Eucharist-related prayers you’d find on the St Josemaría iPhone App:
