creoeninternet Congress: Congratulations! Thank you!

creoeninternet.com Congress a HUGE SUCCESS! Congrats! Thank you to speakers, attendees, staff!

Within a few days, all the presentations (papers, videos) made during the highly successful “Values on the Net” Congress “creoeninternet” held last 11-11-11 in Madrid will be posted on the Congress website.  Meanwhile, enjoy viewing the best 250 photos of the Congress on flickr, here :-)

We wish to transmit here what the Congress organizers said after the event: “THANK YOU! Thanks to all of you who have made the Conference possible: staff, speakers, sponsors, collaborators, press, attendees… Thanks to the 400 attendees who came from 15 different countries :-) Thanks to the 330 media people who followed the proceedings online…”

As we await the text and videos of the proceedings, we wish to share here a few snippets of the Conference. In particular, we share here the tweets by and about  Jack Valero, Coordinator for Catholic Voices in the U.K. [As hundreds of attendees and online followers of the Congress were tweeting the congress proceedings, Jack Valero was trending in Twitter in Madrid and, afterward, in Spain! :-) ]

  • “Light, not heat. Witnessing, not winning.” “Clarify, don’t fight.” “Listen to the 10 (opposed to your ideas); but speak to the 80 (who agree).”
  • “We ought always to seek the meeting point; those things we agree upon.”
  • “To move others you need to be doing what you are very enthusiastic about.”
  • “Each controversy is a perfect opportunity to deliver your message.”
  • “You have to speak with the public, never get angry just because you’ve lost the game.”
