Special Month of May

This May marks the 75th anniversary of St Josemaría’s pilgrimage to Sonsoles.  It also comes during the Marian year that began in Opus Dei last 14 February 2010, and during the Year for Priests.

It was on May 2, 1935, that St Josemaría began the custom of Marian pilgrimages in Opus Dei.  Accompanied by two students, he went to Ávila to visit the shrine of Our Lady of Sonsoles. Read the forum entry that talks about this first pilgrimage.
