What is CTF?
TIERRA FIRME Summer Camp for girls, with 18 years of experience in Venezuela, offers a chance to make the most use of get-in-touch-with-nature vacations to improve through learning experiences that provide opportunities to get to know oneself and give the bst of oneself, at the same time discovering personal qualities and developing one’s potential.
The camp ambience of spontaneity and trust, which helps to consolidate habits of service to others and friendship, work and femeninity, provides the happy and fun environment of unforgettable days.
Under the careful attention of instructors and guides, each campist learns to display their potential and character, while valuing the importance of personal effort in order to reach high goals.
ACTIVITIES
Arts and Crafts: Painting, beading, ceramics and potter’s clay, artistic make-up, sewing and embroidery, wood crafts and other…
Sports: Basketball, Volley ball, Kicking ball, Ultimate sports, athletics.
Special Programmes:
Artistic expression: Theatre performing, Flamenco dancing, Tap dancing, choreographed dances, cheerleader practices, culinary arts, etiquette and protocol, and other.
Teamwork and overcoming obstacles: mountain climbing, eco-education and survivalism, hill walking, excursion to the beach and camping out.
Volunteer work: Social working.
Recreation and rest: Directed games, special evenings, costume parties, gymkana and rallies, cultural plans, strolls, cabin shows, cine-forum.
The programme of activities has been carefully designed by a team of specialists, with the common aim of helping campers improve while enjoying themselves. The main objective is to ensure that each camper develops good habits through fun.
2010 Season
Dates: July 30th to August 8th.
For: Girls between 10 and 14 years of age.
24-hr security. Medical assistance. Personalised attention to campers.
Doctrinal formation and spiritual orientation offered to campers is entrusted to the Prelature of Opus Dei.
